TODAY'S RHEMA Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
This is the story of a girl named Ivy. She came from a family who worshiped another god. Since receiving Jesus in her life, she really wanted to share the Truth with her mother. However, she was afraid because her mother was the type of person who easily got angry. However, she was having a hard time because she shared a room with her mother, every night she pretended to sleep while praying. However, God encouraged her to no longer conceal his faith, so Ivy began to pray openly at home, before eating or at any other time. Since then, God has worked in her life, making her into a better person and her mother began to see the positive change in her life. Her mother even mentioned that Ivy had become a better person after she had become Christian.
A few years later, when Ivy was about to leave for church for Christmas services, her mother offered to accompany her. Unexpectedly, in the Christmas service, God touched her mother's heart that she also accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. God's work did not stop there. Sometime later, the repentance of the mother was followed by the repentance of her 80-year-old grandmother. One by one in Ivy's family were come to accept Jesus as Lord and savior.
Yes, praying only is not enough. As we continue to pray, fast, and seek God's wisdom and guidance, we also need to continue to show the fruit of our relationship with God and sow love in our family. Good news is to be told to the family. They need to hear about Jesus. However, without action, the gospel will be useless. In fact, how we live our daily lives in Christ will be the most effective evangelism for them. Do our part, then God will also do His part to save the whole house (Acts 16:31).
