TODAY'S RHEMA Proverbs 1:8-9 8 My son, hear the instruction of your father, And do not forsake the law of your mother; 9 For they will be a graceful ornament on your head, And chains about your neck.
What will you do with a bag containing a hundred thousands dollars? A child named Seada who was accompanying her sick mother suddenly found that bag in the corridor of a hospital. Even though they were poor and desperately needed the money, Seada's mother told her daughter to patiently wait for the owner to come and instructed her as follows,"What we have to do in life is helping others, and the most inappropriate thing for us to do is taking away wealth that originates from unknown source." Not long afterward, a couple, named Andersons came for the bag. When Seada's mother passed away, the Anderson family adopted Seada. Seada finally grew as an intelligent woman with integrity. Then the unexpected happened. When Mr. Anderson passed away, he gave all his wealth and the Anderson's company to Seada, and not to his own sons. In his will, he explained that Seada's existence always reminded him to pursue an honest business and that was the reason the company could develop well. He believed, that in the hands of Seada, the company could have a bright future.
As children, sometimes it is rather difficult to be obedient to our parents. And sometimes we neglect their admonitions about simple things like studying diligently, doing homework, putting others first, and to apologize to others when we commit mistakes. But, we need to remember that our parents always want the best for each of us. Every advice and order they give are purposely given to shape our characters to become better.
Just like Seada, who listened and heeded her mother's advice, and finally turned out very well in life, blessings from the Lord will always be available for each of us who are willing to listen to our parents' advice. This is the promise coming directly from God too. When we learn to obey simple instructions from our parents, then we can also obey other instructions coming from our parents. All of those will attract God's favor and He will decorate our lives with honor and glory. That way, we experience Great Harvest.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, LISTEN TO YOUR FATHER'S ADVICE and DO NOT LAY WASTE YOUR MOTHER'S INSTRUCTIONS, then God's promises of HONOR AND LUXURY shall manifest in your life.

TODAY'S PRAYER "Good Father, forgive me if I haven't been obedient. I want to learn to obey my parents, no matter how difficult it is. Remind me o Lord, that in doing that, I also honoring Your Name. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
