TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Ephesians 4:26-32 TODAY'S RHEMA Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Pamela met Steve on a tour to Israel. After a short romantic courtship, they got married. Four years into the marriage, they were blessed with two children. However, the transition of their family life was not going well. Steve often spent long hours at the office. Pamela often protested about Steve's not being around to help her take care of the children. Instead, Steve complained that Pam always nagged. When she sought the help of a counselor at church, Pam became aware of her own behavior when they got along and when they were in conflict. If Pam treated him nicely, Steve will also be nice to her. With this discovery, Pam decided to change for good. When Steve came home late, she greeted him cheerfully and asked about his day. Soon Steve started coming home early. At weekends, he woke up early to take care of the children, so Pam could rest. They became more peaceful and restful and with each passing day, they felt more intimate with each other.
To love each other isn't the only ingredient to make a family happy forever. A happy family isn't as easy as flipping your hand but a lot of hard work goes into it. In marriage, two different hearts are united. It is made up of two parties that were born, raised and nurtured in different environments and as time goes by, these differences could generate conflicts in marriage.
Therefore, as a Christian family, it is vital to place Jesus as head of the household. The Christian principles being applied in a household will generate love in the family. The love of God fills our hearts and enables us to love our spouse, forgive their mistakes and also to cause us to be of the same mind. With that, the family will enjoy heaven on earth.
