TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Leviticus 19: 1-37

TODAY'S RHEMA
Leviticus 19:32 "You shall rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old man, and fear your God: I am the LORD"

When we were babies, we were cuddled, hugged, and pampered by our parents. They invested all the time and affection they had unconditionally. But unfortunately, after growing up, there are not a few children who forget the effort and love of their parents. They're considered as a burden for children in their old age.

Viona experienced this situation in her life. To take care of her senile aging mother was burdensome to her. She couldn't stand her mother's repeating questions. Sometimes, she answered impatiently as she walked into the house and left her mother alone in the garden. While laying on the long sofa, she saw an old picture on the table's corner. Curious, she opened it and saw a photo of her and her mother when she was three years old. Below the pictures was a note: Viona asked Mommy the same question five times, "What's that mommy?" I answered her five times also: "That's a rose, dear".
As we get older, we unconsciously become too preoccupied with our own affairs and forget the whereabouts of our parents. While day and night they think about and await us. It is no wonder that the saying goes, "Mother's love at all times, children love along the pole." Today, if you are reading this and the relationship with your parents has grown cold or frozen, the word of God says return to your first love. Renew your relationship with them. Keep your relationship with your parents close. Spend and appreciate quality time with them. Remind them how valuable and meaningful they are to you. Whatever happens, do not be condescending, let alone speak harshly to them. Thus, God will also refresh our broken relationship with parents and bring heaven into the family.

REFLECTION
Saudara Terkasih, MAINTAIN CLOSE RELATIONSHIP and DON'T UNDERESTIMATE your parents because they are not a burden but BLESSING.

APPLICATIONS
1. What is your relationship with your parents like?
2. What kind of relationship does God want between children and parents?
3. How will you maintain a close relationship with your parents?

TODAY'S PRAYER
"My good Father, thank You for the love You have given and parents You have put in my life. Remind me to always keep a close relationship with my parents and respect them so that I can experience restoration in my life and family. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
