TODAY'S RHEMA Genesis 2:18 And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him."
Even though marriage is God's will, He never creates you solely for the purpose of marriage. With that being said, He would create Eve at the same time He created Adam. Bible noted that God put Adam as the first man in the garden of Eden in order to work and take care of it (Genesis 2:5,15). Right after that, He revealed that Adam could not work his tasks alone (verse 18) as he needed a helper.
Take a look how God referred her as "helper" instead of "companion". The helper that God prepares is an equivalent helper. He prepared someone who was able to execute tasks which He had given altogether with Adam. Interestingly, you could see how amazing God's work to bring all kind of animals in front of Adam. In that particular moment, Adam realized his need to find an equivalent partner: someone that he could communicate and interact in the same way as he did. This portrayal reflects that God did not only concern about human's need of coworker, but also figure of a best friend whom he could share his thoughts and mind.
Marriage is not a purpose indeed but is a platform that God builds in order to complete His master plan in your lives. Therefore, it is important for you to find vision and purpose that God has planned in your live firstly. After that, you would understand the right figure of a spouse that you need to fulfill God's plan in your lives. From now on, do not look for a spouse for your sake of happiness, but seek and become an equivalent helper. You would find God's big vision be fulfilled completely in the lives of you and your spouses. This is the true happiness that God prepares and you might find in a marriage that works according to His will.
