TODAY'S RHEMA Romans 6:5 For if we have been united with Him in a death like His, we will certainly also be united with Him in a resurrection like His.
Every year, we celebrate Passover in commemoration of Christ's death on the cross and resurrection. For Jewish people, Passover is a celebration of God's love which set the nation of Israel free from Egyptians' oppression. There are many celebrations, traditions, and discussions about Passover. There is also a pattern to fast and to abstain from food for 40 days before Passover. There is nothing wrong with that. But before we get trapped in mere spiritual rituals, let us understand the true meaning of Passover.
The resurrection is a great note of victory. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a sign of victory over sin and death. No one has the power to surrender his life and to reclaim it except God Himself (John 10:17-18). His resurrection clearly showed that He is the Lord. This also guarantees and gives hope to those who believe in Him, that through His sacrifice, the power of sin and death has been defeated and no longer has dominion over us. Yes, by Jesus' blood that was shed on the cross, He had redeemed us with a price that is so much higher than our true value. He did all that because He loves us very much as His creation.
This Passover season, we are reminded, that whoever we are, whatever sins and mistakes we have committed, God still invites us to take part in His resurrection power. Do not waste this opportunity. Draw close to God's throne of grace and love with boldness, so you can know Him better and deeper and we can experience His power further. To those who do not believe, open your heart to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. Start a new life with faith and hope because we have been resurrected together with Him. Have faith, that after our time in this world is over, we will be resurrected again to eternal life together with Jesus in the Kingdom of God.
