Larry Alford made golf as his passion since childhood. When he was a teenager, Larry was placed in sixteenth successful junior golfers in America. He worked hard to perfect his game but tragically, Larry met an accident in his early time of High School. He lost his left arm from the elbow down. He also lost his dream of becoming a professional player. Feeling his life was meaningless, Larry tried to find a pleasure in drinking alcohol and women. His emptiness led him to return to God. He could choose to give up and blame God but he didn't. He decided to take the right attitude and stand up again. God answered his hope with an artificial arm specially designed for him. After having uneasy training for several times, Larry joined golf tournament again and built a successful career. Moreover, Larry also shared his testimony to motivate people to know and develop their talents from God, no matter how hard the situation might be.
We may be the children of God but He isn't a Father who pampers His children. He doesn't want us to be spoiled children, who can only ask and grumble if we don't get what we want. God won't let us be easily upset, give up, feel hurt or doubt in Him. He wants His children to be mature and become the soldiers of God to do great things.
No matter what happens, do not ever doubt His love for us. Sometimes, God uses problem to transform us from the illegitimate children to becoming His soldiers. As the children of God, we get "the first class facilities" but as the soldiers of God, we must have a strong personality. As many as the facilities, we get, as many of the responsibilities we have. Don't feel comfortable with the position "illegitimate son", but let us transform to becoming the strong soldiers of God, then we will experience the fulfillment of His promise. Amen.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, After BEING TRANSFORMED into A STRONG SOLDIER OF GOD, you will EXPERIENCE THE FULFILLMENT OF HIS PROMISE.

TODAY'S PRAYER "Dear God, I believe Your promise is yes and amen. I don't want to be a child who can only ask. It's my life God, use me to do what You want to do through me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
