TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Proverbs 3:1-8
TODAY'S RHEMA Proverbs 3:3-4 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.
There was a movie based on a real story of Desmond Doss, a young American soldier in the World War II. When he was willing to become a soldier, he must pass through several tests, including intelligence, health, also, he had to pass all the physical tests that required obedience and discipline. In the midst of those process, Desmond was given many punishments due to his decision not to kill anyone, as the Word of God taught him; he refused to use the fire gun. What he did was considered as disobedience in a military, which brought him harsh consequences, however, he never doubted his mind. Eventually, he was assigned to be a combat medic, so he could save tens of other injured soldiers. And through what he did, the American soldiers can regain Hacksaw Ridge from Japanese. After the war was finished, Desmond was given a "Medal of Honor"; his life story has inspired and changed many people's life.
Right now, the revival has moved and God is looking for people who want to "give up" their life to be the soldier of God. However, to be able to move in this Spiritual revival, a price must be paid. We have to fight the wicked spirit and overcome our flesh every time as our loyalty and obedience to God.
As a human being, it may seem very hard to do, but as long as we have hearts to do it, God will enable us. He sees not our ability but our availability, a heart that willing to pay the price to face any processes and barriers. Thus we can pass all the qualifications to be the soldier of God. Therefore, let us fight forward to be His soldier. God can use anyone; God is not looking for the quantity but the quality; the quality of whom willing to give their heart. So let us not be left behind of this revival movement, make sure you have listed your name as one of the militant Soldier of God, and to be used for His glory.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, God is looking for a heart of A SOLDIER WHO IS WILLING TO BE USED rather than THOUSANDS OF ORDINARY BELIEVERS.
APPLICATION 1. According to you, what are the requirements to become soldiers of God? Are you in the line already? 2. Why does God look for a loyal, obedient heart that really desires to be used by Him? 3. What can you do to be a militant soldier of God?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Lord Jesus, I want to be Your militant soldier. I want to learn to be willing to pay the price and always be loyal to You as I pass all the qualifications. God, enable me to do so, I know that I am nothing without You. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen."
