TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL John 14:1-14
TODAY'S RHEMA John 14:12-13 "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my Name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
South Korea is a country that obliges all young male citizens age 20-30 to participate in military works. It obliges all his citizens to lift up fire arms and to become soldiers for about two years serving time. The purpose of it is to train the citizen to be disciplined, tough, brave, and to be independent. The reason why South Korea made the policy is because of the relation between South and North Korea is still not as good, therefore South Korea saw it as necessary to equip her citizen with basic military training.
When someone is called to serve the country, they have to put aside any personal affair, job, position, education, and any other pleasures and return to their original life when their service comes to an end. However, even after they are not serving in the military anymore, they have to be on guard at any time they are needed to defend the country. They gain trust from their country to do great works to guard.
Right now, we may have become Christian for some period of time but there are numbers of Christian who are still unsure about their true calling in their life. Do you know that each one of us is called by God to become soldiers of God, and not only to become His children, lovers or friends? As soldiers of God, we have to be prepared once God calls us to do His great works. We will be used by God to perform great works wherever He sent us to, within the family, workplaces, churches, schools, campuses, cities and also nations. God is our Great General, He is the One who will lead us to accomplish all our tasks. Altogether with Him, we can do great works for the purpose of His glory.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, You should realize that GOD CALLS YOU to be HIS PREPARED SOLDIERS who do mighty works for HIS HONOR AND GLORY.
APPLICATION 1. As a soldier of God, have you realized the calling for your life? 2. Are you prepared to become His soldiers to do great and mighty works for Him? Why? 3. How can you prepare yourself to be used as His soldiers?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Thank You Father, You have called me to become Your soldier. I am ready to be used, o God. I long to do great and mighty works for the honor of Your Name. In the Name of Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen."
