TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Judges 6:3-23
TODAY'S RHEMA Judges 6:12 "When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, "The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.""
Everyone for sure has dreamed they want to achieve in lives. But, how much of us will still stick to the dream we have from the earlier days? As time goes by and troubles that encounter, we often feel afraid and unable to bring what we dream of coming to life. It causes us to lose faith and think that we have such high standard kind of dream that we want to lower the standard of what we want to dream of just like what had happened to Gideon. When the angel of the Lord came to Him, he was a coward and pessimist man. He demeaned himself so much, he didn't believe God could free his country from Midianites. But, God called him as a mighty warrior. God had to speak to Gideon few times until he was able to muster his courage. When Gideon finally rose up, he became one of the mighty warrior of God like it is written in the bible.
It's His word, the only one which able to strengthen our faith (Rome 10:17). The truth is, it's not our strength or capability that God needs, but our faith. In the last days, we don't fight against blood and flesh but against spiritual forces. The devil will always try to intimidate us and weaken our faith (Eph. 6:11-12). That's why we need strong faith to believe that we can win even before the battle begins because He lives within us (Gal. 2:20).
You must know, God doesn't need a mighty warrior or a lot of armies. As long He is with us, we can do great things with Him. Our part is to fully surrender to Him and put our trust fully unto Him. By fully putting our faith and hope in Him, we can open our heart to Him. If we allowed Him to have full control of our life, He can carry us to do great things with Him so that through our weaknesses and limitations, His power will be revealed and His name be glorified through our life
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, His Word heals and raises you up to become a mighty warrior.
APPLICATION 1. How can God's words heal and raise you up? 2. Do you know what God said about who you are? What is it? 3. What can you do to increase your faith so that you can become a mighty warrior like Gideon?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Lord, I am very limited. But one thing that I know, I have a limitless God. Forgive me if I lower my goal. Give me power. Help me to increase my faith so that with You, I can go ahead and fight to get the promised victory. Thank you, Jesus. In Your name, I pray.Amen."
