TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Jeremiah 17:5-10
TODAY'S RHEMA Jeremiah 17:5 "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD."
Judah was the chosen nation of God which entered the Promised Land. However, when Judah was under pressure by other nations, they forgot to rely on God. They counted on their own strength by worshiping the idols from those nations and they also built a union with them. Judah expected to be protected by the nations which the idols they worshiped. It came with consequences when God put His wrath against them. Their wealth was taken away and they were captured as slaves in the foreign land.
In our daily life, we often see people who always rely on their own strength and maybe we are one of them. They put their faith for the sake of position and life partner. They compromise faith for wealth. They serve the Lord by their own strength without involving God. The Bible said that behavior brings curse which causes them into suffering and trouble.
Relying on God surely brings blessings, no matter how dreadful the challenge ahead. So today, be wise and choose to rely on God in all things we do, start from now, make God as the center of our strength, our life, our blessing, our healing, our victory and everything then we will see magnificent works of God to be revealed upon us
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, don't fight with your own strength; RELY ON GOD in ALL THINGS YOU DO then He will do something AMAZINGLY for your life.
APPLICATION 1. Whom you rely on? Why? 2. What have you experienced when you rely on God and when you didn't? 3. How do you see yourself relying on God?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Heavenly Father, I am willing to rely on You in all things, so I can experience Your amazing intervention in my life. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen"
