TODAY'S RHEMA Proverbs 16: 24 "Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones."
Ann was a reserved high school student. She didn't talk much. Her thought was filled with a negative thought about others. She thinks that her friends had everything better than her. They were: smarter, richer and more attractive and so on. Ann kept this feeling to herself. One day, Ann met a girl named Jessy. Jessy was a cheerful and confident girl. She motivated Ann to get connected with others, involved in school activities and church's service. Gradually, with the encouragement she received from her friend, she gained her self-confidence to the point of transformation from a reserved and unconfident girl to cheerful and confident girl.
Now, if Ann met anyone unconfident friends or people around her, she would get close and encourage them how to get self-confidence. Ann wanted her friends to be brave, confident and have positive thought just like her. She always built and strengthened her friends through her word. That's why Ann was so much loved by her friends, even many of them changed to be the better people just like her.
When God has helped us to be courageous, he wants us to encourage people around us as well. Learn to see people as God saw Gideon, who was faint hearted but God saw him as a mighty warrior. Start to say encouraging words towards people around us. If we long to see the transformation in our family, campus, church, city, and country, let us start by speaking an encouraging word, to arise "the dry bones to be the mighty warriors." It is the time to raise up warriors' mentality inside us and raise up heroes around us.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, God will not only raise you up as Gideon but also USE YOU to RAISE OTHER GIDEONS around you.
APPLICATION 1. Are you the Gideon in this last times? Why? 2. Why does God want to use you to raise up other Gideon around you? 3. How is your way to raising other Gideon around you?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Dear God, thank You for raising me as Gideon in the last times. Use my life to raise other Gideon around me through my speech so that it will raise up and build up others. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
