When the tribe of Judah felt helpless, God spoke to them through Joel the Prophet. He reminded them, even after the locust epidemic that destroyed their vineyard and their field, and heard that there were invasion from afar coming in, they did not lose hope in Him. If they turn their heart back to God with all they had, He will restore them, and bring joy to them. This is how big and how great what God has in store for us. Not just the soldier or the commander in chief, God also asked farmers, and shepherds to use their tools and take part in the battlefield, win, and celebrate. Even for people who never think of taking part in any war before, God has raised them to be the Hero for the nation.
This cases that had happened way before, is an image of the prophecy of the end times. In the book of Joel, we can find that God spoke that He will pour out His blessings to all mankind. Just like the Israelites at that time, whoever we are, God wants us to take part in this revival that He planned. Yes, this is His time to restore us in the end times. God wants to raise us His warriors through His church.
It has been long enough that the children of God has just sat down and wait for the revival He promised. That longing is not enough. We have to start taking a real action. A doctor profession is to heal people and spread the Word; teacher could teach academic knowledge alongside with sowing the good seed; businessmen and employees should take the opportunity to build relation that mirrors God's personality in the world. Every activity that we do is to save the lost. We have long been living like the dried bone that is useless, that cannot do much for God will be rise up through Him. As much as we feel like we are weak, God wants us to say, "I am a warrior!"
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, this is the time when God REVIVES THE DRIED BONE and turn you into END TIMES WARRIORS.
APPLICATION 1. What do you feel about yourself? Have you contributed anything in the movement of revival that God is doing right now? 2. Why does God want you to rise up and call us as warriors? 3. What can you do to rise up for God?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Good Lord, You are the God who understands what feel about me. But, more that what I am feeling right now, You see me as Your warriors. Even if I am seen just like the dried bone, revive me now for Your Glory. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen"
