TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL 1 Peter 5:1-11
TODAY'S RHEMA 1 Peter 5:6 "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time."
10rh of April 1912, RSM Titanic as one of the world's largest, most luxurious, and finest steamship sailed across the ocean for the first time. Titanic was finely designed to resemble a floating luxurious hotel. For enjoyment, first and second-class passengers could enjoy onboard facility like swimming pool, gymnasium, squash courts, sauna, and reflection place. More, there were some royal-style designed rooms that could be used to relax, library, restaurants, cafes, and even telegraph rooms. The ship's hull was made with high-quality materials that ensure its safety. One of the crews of the ship once said, "even God cannot sink the ship." Clearly, a lot of people had high hopes for the ship to have a bright and long future.
However, four days letter, Titanic struck the iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean. With all the luxury it ever made, Titanic only provided 20 lifeboats, instead of 64. As a result, from 2.224 passengers and crews, only 705 people could be saved. From that moment, Titanic had turned just like the tower of Babel that symbolizes human's arrogance.
Arrogance is a sense of one's own importance more than the others. Someone who is arrogant likes to show him or herself and forget that everything that they have is God's grace. For them, God has very little influence over their life. And usually, people who are arrogant are people who have a lot of great talents and potentials. Be careful, arrogance is the start of a fall. The devil does not like God's children to use their potential to glorify God's name. He will make sure to spread and impart all the seed of arrogance into our heart, to kill the potential. Because of that, if we want to make sure that we can multiply our potential, we have to stay humble, and therefore God Himself will help us multiply our potential and the devil cannot stand along the way to ruin God's plan in our life. Be God's soldier who realizes that everything in our lives is God's grace.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, stay HUMBLE, because arrogance blinds your eyes towards GOD'S FREELY-GIVEN GRACE that is meant to KILL YOUR POTENTIAL.

TODAY'S PRAYER "Thank you, God, for every potential and talent that You have given to me. Teach me to stay humble and do not boast in us. Everything that I have is only by Your Grace. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen."
