Good Soldier of Christ Keluarga Allah Daily Devotional September 15, 2017
TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL 2 Timothy 2:1-15
TODAY'S RHEMA 2 Timothy 2:3-4 "You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier"
Even though it might cost their life, a soldier will not easily give up. He would sacrifice his soul for the sake of their country; that is the main job of being a soldier. General Sudirman ever said, "A soldier has only one job, which is to keep his country's sovereignty and safety. It's the only responsibility of a soldier." Being a soldier is not always easy, but there, we can learn how to commit and be loyal to our superior. An absolute obedience and discipline is a fixed price of being a soldier.
We are as the soldier of God, we need to put aside any of our own personal interest and worries, and we must have a strong commitment towards the Kingdom of God and Jesus as the highest General. God wants us to have a soldier mentality; a soldier who is ready to fight for Him whatever it may take. A soldier never thinks about his personal interest but the Kingdom's interest. A soldier always searches for His heart and prioritize His plan. A soldier willing to put aside their own selfishness for a bigger purpose God has in him. A soldier with such mentality is one God seek and favor.
Don't be afraid, God will not close his eyes on whatever we do for His Glory. Give your worry to Him; what we need to do is only being a focus to fight on the vision and the calling that God destined for us. Wherever He put us in, we must ready to do His will, and if we are consistent with strong commitment to fight on God's will, God will not only enable us to finish up all the works, but also He will make sure that all we need in life, physically and spiritually, be full in abundance and overflowing.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, A GOOD SOLDIER OF CHRIST is not the one who focuses on his own personal interest, but ONE WHO READY TO FIGHT FOR GOD'S INTEREST.
