TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Isaiah 41:8-20
TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Fear is the strongest weapon to use in a war. Fear will consume the soldiers even before they walk into the battlefield or face their enemies. Goliath and the Philistines soldier spread fear in the war. Showing their giant-like figure equipped with weapons and shouting with a strong voice, Goliath spread fear to the Israelites. This strategy worked, the strongest warrior of Israel had no guts to face him. When David came to the battlefield, he was a mere shepherd. He had no experience in a war. However, his faith in God had made him brave and have no fear to face the enemy. He conquered Goliath and turned around the situation.
Satan also spread the spirit of fear. He tells lies and makes our problems seem bigger than what it is. Unknowingly, he plants ideas in our mind that you won't be able to overcome your financial, family, study, work, or ministry problem. Oftentimes, you let your weakness conquers you and lets you down in fear. As if you have no strength left, you just wait for the day your life ruined completely. In the end, you will meet your defeat even before you fight in the war.
When you submit to your situation, God wants you to rise up. Stop believing lies. Keep your faith in God's plan which will bring you glory to glory. Whenever you feel that fear holds you, look upon Jesus. He has promised you to never let you go and face your problem alone. His righteous right hand will bring you glory, He will guide you to go beyond your weakness and incapability. Come to His throne with brave, you will receive His favor. Get closer to Him and your fear will vanish. Fear will be conquered and replaced with strength. He will strengthen your heart and raise you up so that you can answer His calling as His soldier.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, with full of courage, stand firm and overcome the spirit of fear; for with God you will gain victory.
APPLICATION 1. What fear do you face now? Where does it come from? 2. Why do you need to overcome your fear? 3. How do you overcome the fear and prepare your heart to go into the battlefield?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, I believe that You are with me. Let me set my eyes on You. I believe I can do all things with You. I am ready to be your soldier and to bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen."
