Hebrews 4:1-13
TODAY'S RHEMA
Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."
When a soldier is preparing himself before going to the battlefield, he does not only put on the harness, helmet and bring the shield. You may imagine what would happen to him if he is fully covered but does not bring any weapon in his hands. No matter how big and hard the body armor, it is just used to cover him that he would not get hurt. But if the soldier wants to win, he needs a weapon. Yes, a weapon that could paralyze and destroy the enemy!
That is the case when we are in the middle of spiritual warfare and the devil is our enemy. Remember that devil is the father of lies. He would lie to you about all things. When the Lord tells you, "I love you!" He will say otherwise. "God doesn't love you. It is impossible for a Father to discipline His children in that way.", "Stop thinking too much. God would not restore your future. It's too late.", "Use the tithing money to pay your debt." or "Nobody loves you. God made mistake in creating you." Those are some of many examples of Satan's lies.
Imagine if you do not resist, but just defense. You will be defeated and die. Therefore, you have to defeat him by breaking their attacks. The only way is by speaking the truth boldly and living the WORD OF GOD as the only TRUTH that is able to destroy the devil. Of course, he will always try to tempt you not to believe the Word and to change it with his lies. But, you should not fear because he must submit to the Word of God. From now on, sharpen your weapon, live in the Word of God, which is the sword of Spirit and use it. The victory that God has prepared for you will be given to you. Rise up and win the battle with the Word of God, the most powerful spiritual weapon God has for you.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, like Jesus did, we need to learn to use THE WORD OF GOD as the main weapon to WIN THE SPIRITUAL WARFARE.
