TODAY'S RHEMA 1 John 3:1a "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him."
Have you ever watched a movie entitled "Patch Adams"? Based on a true story, this movie tells about a doctoral candidate who was different from her friends. Not only because he was much older than his college friends, but also because of the method he used to treat his patient was different. While other doctors using conventional way to heal the patients, Adams used humor and laugh. For him, the obligation as a doctor, other to treat the patient physically, they have to treat them mentally as well. He believed that if their hearts are cherished, their body would be healthier. That's why he was entertaining them and helping them to reach their hopes that they longed to happen in their lives. Even though many people were against him, through his unique method, the patients' health became better. Those who lived in despair could find their spirit again.
From the story of Patch and the patients, it reminds us about the depth of God's love. If Patch, a mankind was willing to do anything for his patient, what's more, our Lord Jesus.
How many of you feeling empty in life? Feeling that you are just living a meaningless and full of burden life, nobody cares about you. But, please know, that God sees you as precious creation. The world may underestimate you, but Jesus calls you His beloved son/daughter. All hardship, trial, and bad things happening now are used by God to fulfill His plan for your life and to process you until you receive what He had planned. How deep His love is. What you need to do is open your heart that He could touch you and restore your life.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, open your heart widely and let the GREAT LOVE OF THE LORD fill your heart and GIVE MEANING to life.
