TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

TODAY'S RHEMA Luke 2: 10-12 "10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.""
On this special day, every Christian is going to church for the Christmas service. Some people also would gather with family and neighbors for a Christmas dinner or visiting one and another's home to exchange some gift and share the joy of Christmas. However, more than all about that, there is much more important thing for us to understand about Christmas, it is to ponder on "What Christmas is all about". It is about what God has done for the mankind.
That night, more than 2000 years ago, some shepherds were keeping the flock in the field. Can you imagine what they felt in the middle of the silence of the night in the field? Can you imagine what they felt during their routine activity? Maybe, they were bored and felt lost. But suddenly the angel appeared and told them that the Savior was born and at the same time, they had found new hope in their lives.
Yes, Christmas day is the day where God gave His beloved and only Son to the world so those who believe in Him will not perish but receive the eternal life (John 3:16). Christmas day is also the day when God descended from His throne of the Kingdom and came to the world in form of tiny baby and those who with Him inherit the Kingdom God has already promised for those who love Him (James 2:5). He has done all of that because He loves us so much.
Just like the shepherds in the field who were underestimated in the social community system, actually we are too. We are nobody. But, God has chosen you and I, and us all to receive the joyful Christmas message so our lives can be tremendously changed by His amazing love. As the shepherds became the witness of the nativity, we are also assigned to deliver the message of Christmas to our surroundings.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, The only reason why Lord Jesus was WILLING TO COME DOWN TO THE WORLD AND BE THE SAVIOR FOR MANKIND was because HE HAS TREMENDOUS LOVE for us.

When you see others surrounding you, are you willing to share the message of Christmas as your real action of love?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Lord Jesus, thank you for Your amazing love for me. I want to share love with others just like you have loved me first. Enable me, Lord to share the love of Christmas with others whom You long to get blessed. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen."
