TODAY'S RHEMA
1 Corinthians 1:27-28 "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are,"
God may choose and use anyone to change the world. There are many success stories that we could use as examples and lesson. However, their journey started from zero. People behind the stories were considered dumb, underestimated, and even failed in education. But eventually, they could become the most influential person in their field.
The first example is Thomas Alfa Edison. In his childhood, during his 3 months of schooling, he was called mentally ill by his teacher. Edison's mother then brought him back home and decided to teach him by herself. Through her great effort, some years later, Edison became an inventor.
The second example is the story of Walt Disney. The world acknowledges him as one of the richest men in the world, but who knows that he was once fired from one of his first animation jobs? The editor felt that he lacked imagination and had no good ideas. But from that case, eventually he successfully created Mickey Mouse, an imaginative character which became a good start of Disney animation.
The last example is Harland David Sanders. This success man is known as Colonel Sanders, the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Early in his business, he experienced hardship in selling his product. In fact, it was rejected for 1,009 times by many restaurants. But we could see it now, it becomes one of the biggest food franchise in the world.
Never look at yourself, your weaknesses, and your limitation, but look at God who is able to change everything. Yes, it is true that our strength is limited yet our God of all creation is an unlimited God. We exist because God has wonderful plans for our lives. God loves us so He chose us to do His will.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, HIS GREAT LOVE makes Him CHOOSE and WORK IN our limitation.
