There was a mother who was saddened by the behavior of her youngest son who was very different from his God-fearing brothers. He vexed his mother often. The mother had done everything she could to correct him, she advised him, but he just wouldn't listen. In the midst of her turmoil, the mother was suddenly reminded of a song: "Defeat your enemy (the Devil) with prayer, Defeat your enemy (The Devil) with prayer, beat your worries with prayer, there is power in a prayer, prayer, prayer ... prayer, prayer ... Prayer delivers a miracle."
Her faith awakened. Instead of hating her youngest child, this mother chose not to despair in praying for her child. Every morning and night, she never missed the youngest son in her daily prayer. In fact, she invited his brothers to participate in praying for their brother. Although some time has passed and still no visible changes, it did not make them despair. Until someday, slowly but surely, change began to become evident in the behavior of her youngest son. He was finally touched by God and God changed his life.
Often time, in facing difficulties, the first thing we do is try to solve it by our own ability. However, do we realize that there is so much going on in our lives beyond our power as human beings? Understand that there is no way out but Jesus. Only He can do the impossible. We are expected to come to Him with prayer and thanksgiving, then any impossibility will be made possible. Believe me, there are great miracles and victories that await us in our prayers. As our prayers grow stronger, we will grow into spiritual giants who do great things with Him.
