TODAY'S RHEMA Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Mr. Jose had three grown-up sons; Danny, Rick, and Raymond. One day, they came to Mr. Jose to ask for their portion of their inheritance to build a house for themselves so they can live independently. Mr. Jose agreed to their plan. Danny, the last born, started building his house from hay, right after he got his portion. It was completed in almost no time. Then, Rick, the second son, built his house using wood and it didn't take a long time to finish. Different from the rest, Raymond built a unique house for himself. He dug the soil, made a foundation from the mixing of rocks and cement. While his two brothers were enjoying their new houses, Raymond was still building his house because it took a longer time to finish. One time, a whirlwind blew and stormed their area, Danny's hay house fell in no time. The same thing happened to Rick's house, the woods were dismantled one by one and finally it was damaged, while Raymond's house stood still in the midst of the raging whirlwind.
Every day we face different kinds of challenges and hardships. In such situations, we are tested to know whether we have made faith the foundation of our inner man or we faint while facing those situations. We may not know what lies ahead, but when we have faith, we can rest assured our future is in God's hands.
The Bible writes "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). Every time we listen to the Word of God, our faith is built and our inner man is being strengthened. Thus, faith becomes the first key to experiencing unlimited spiritual growth. With faith as a foundation, we also can become Spiritual Giants. Keep your faith strong in the Lord and your inner man will be strong.
