A missionary was assigned to a remote area. When he started his ministry there, he was concerned about the life of the people there. They never missed any Sunday service yet their lives weren't any better, no progress, no breakthroughs. Many went through domestic abuse and many ministers were in disputes with each other, many of them were living in difficult financial situations. Moreover, many of them still practiced idolatry. They brought sick people to Shaman instead of praying and seeing a doctor.
After few months ministering to the people there, the missionary finally found the reasons why. Truthfully, the people and the ministers there were not really given to prayer. There were only a a few people who attended the prayer meetings and to them, a prayer meeting was nothing but routine. The Missionary has a great work to do in order to make a change. He started from strengthening the ministers there to rebuild their prayer life. His hard work came to fruition. After much effort, the fire of prayer in that church was kindled. Many intercessors were birthed, people's lives were getting better and breakthrough started to happen in their lives.
How about our prayer life? Is it alive or already died down and lukewarm? We yearn for the miraculous to happen in our lives, yet we don't want to pray? We yearn for breakthroughs in our ministry, yet we are reluctant to attend prayer meetings? If our answer is a yes, we need to ask God for mercy and start to commit ourselves to rekindle our prayer life so that we can rise to become spiritual giants who experience breakthroughs and move from glory to glory in our personal life, work, businesses, school, and even our ministries. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, If you are able to STRENGTHEN your lukewarm prayer life, He will RAISE you up to become an extraordinary spiritual giant APPLICATIONS 1. TODAY'S PRAYER "My good Father, please forgive me for letting my prayer life burn out. Starting today, I want to commit myself to rekindle the fire of prayer in my life so that I can be a spiritual giant doing great things for Your glory. In Jesus' name, I Pray. Amen"
