One of the biggest mistakes in our lives is that we think we can never get out of our poverty, or we feel we're at the top of our success. As a result, there is no more a push to fight harder. However, it was not so with Leonardo Del Vecchio who was born into a poor family in Milan in 1935. At the age of 14, he began working at the manufacturer's auto parts and glasses. Five years later, he began taking industrial engineering lessons at night, while still working the afternoon.
Finding his passion in the making of glasses, Leonardo moved to Agordo, Italy's eyewear trade center. While making spectacle frames for various brands, he studied business and eyeglass design. In 1976, he stopped producing for other brands and launched his own brand, Luxottica. Shortly afterward, the trademark succeeded in being the leader in the market. Not stopping there, Leonardo continues to grow his business. Over time, he also acquired various leading brands domestically to international such as Ray-Ban. Now, Luxottica Group is the world's largest glasses manufacturer.
This story reminds us, as an ordinary person, we are very limited, but God created us with unlimited potential. Especially if we walk with Him. Unimaginable where He can take us. It's not just about physical success, but especially in spirituality. However, God does not want us to remain as spiritual children who are easily shaken by problems in this world. Get out of all the doubts and comfort zones that limit our growth space. If we want to pay the price and fight for it, we can become a spiritual giant standing firmly in trials, and God ready to do great things in the world.
