Know God's Purpose and Walk with Him Keluarga Allah Daily Devotional January 30, 2017
TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Ephesians 1:1-12
TODAY'S RHEMA
Ephesians 1:11 "In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,"
A multinational company was recruiting several final year college students to work as project manager. This small project was expected to be finished in 4 months. The company paid these interns with high salary. All the students apparently were able to finish the project. After they graduated, they applied for a job in this company, but unfortunately, only some of them who were accepted. Turned out that during the internship, the project reports and the last assignment submitted, and the attitude of the students became the indicators for the manager to hire new employees. This company provided high salary and the best job facilities for those who were successfully accepted.
In the illustration above, the multinational company was giving its favor to the students who knew the purpose of internship and who did the project task well. How about our God in heaven? He is more than that! He has a plan when He gives His favor for us. The favor of God could be in the form of a job promotion, or increasing customers, or scholarship offering, relief in the middle of hardship, and etc. When we receive His favor, God wants us to truly understand the plan and purpose why He pour it upon us. Also, He wants us to walk according to His will.
God is love (1 John 4:8) and God is good (Psalm 145:9). He longs to give His favor to us because we belong to Him. When we are walking in accordance with God's will, He will grant us with an abundance of favor. What we need to have is sensitivity to His voice and a faithful heart to stay living in Him. Let's know His purpose and keep walking faithfully with Him!
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, know THE PURPOSE OF GOD giving you favor and WALK ACCORDANCE WITH THAT PURPOSE, then He will grant you the abundance of favor.

TODAY'S PRAYER "My Lord Jesus, You are my King. Thank you for the favor that You have poured out upon me. I pray that You may enable me to listen to your voice and to use the favor to fulfill Your plan for me. I want to walk with You always, God. All are for Your glory. In the name of Jesus, I pray.
