TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Joshua 1:1-9
TODAY'S RHEMA Joshua 1:8 "Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."
Walking with God does not mean doors are always open for us. Sometimes, we think that God leads us to the door of answers. However, many times we find out that the door is suddenly shut. This situation will just make us wonder "Why is it easier for others to get the answer for their problems?", "Why do others have life full of miracles?", "It does not mean that I don't believe in God, but how long do I have to wait for His favor?"
It took forty years for Joshua to receive God's promise, yet he stood still. He also did not dictate God on His timing but kept waiting patiently for it. He received many negative comments from his people, but still He believed in God's plan. He did not let doubt and disappointment took place in his heart and mind. In the end, Joshua finished a duty that could not be finished by Moses. He finally led the Israelites into the Promise Land.
Don't be disappointed if God closes the doors in front of you. The disappointment that you let grow will fill the space of favor of God. Fix your eyes on Him only. Come to Jesus when you are weakened by the circumstances because He will strengthen you. Keep walking on God's path even though it is hard to walk on. In His time, you will see how God makes the shut doors open and He will grant favor upon your life.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, FAVOR IS NOT A COINCIDENCE but IS RECEIVED only when we fix our focus ON HIS PROMISES.
