TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Ephesians 5:13-17
TODAY'S RHEMA Ephesians 5:15-16 "Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."
Cindy Jacobs is a daughter of a pastor in the Southern Baptist church. She received the calling of God for the first time was on 1960, when she was just 9 years old. After that time, she lived in the waiting for God's confirmation of His calling. She got married and when she was 30 years old, she began to wake up every single night at the same hour. After sometimes, she felt that God wanted her to pray. She prayed for everyone came through her mind. When she prayed for one particular pastor in the church she was planted in, then there was confirmation over what she prayed about. It happened exactly as she had prayed.
The event pushed her to pray even more every single night. She invested her time for God and dedicated to minister to others through prayers. God began to enlarge her ministry and soon people began to hear about her ministry. Some even invited her to speak about intercessory prayer. In 1985, she founded the Generals of Intercession together with her husband, Mike who minister in the Spiritual warfare. Up to this day, God still speaks to His church through prophetic message conveyed through Cindy.
Time is very precious because once it passed, it can't return back. Therefore time is also the most precious present we could give to our loved ones. Every one of us is given the same amount of time, 24 hours. How do we spend our time explain who and what are our priorities? To something precious or to someone we love so much, we definitely would allocate time to communicate, to listen, pray for them and many other things. If we really want to build an intimate relationship with God, we need to invest our time for Him in prayer, in His Word, in the communion of the believers, and to serve Him in the ministry. When our relationship is built, God most likely will open our hearts even more for us to know Him better. Let us invest our time for Him, to glorify Him.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, if you want to build your relationship with God, you need to invest your time for God as well.
