TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Joshua 14:6-15
TODAY'S RHEMA
Joshua 14:12 "Now give me this hill country that the LORD has promised me that day. You yourself heard that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but the LORD helping me, I will drive them out just as he said."
Let's think about Caleb's story when he met Joshua with those words written in the verse above. The situation was this: a forgotten old man who was seldom involved came to a commander of Israel's troop who had more warring experience than him. However, in their meeting, the old man insisted the troop's commander to give him the hardest, the biggest and the most dangerous region for him to conquer. For most of people , the request of this old man seems ridiculous, too bombastic, as an owl dreams a moon (in proverbs). But for Caleb, the brave old man, he asked to conquer the hardest areas because he had "the spirit of pioneer."
How many people who have "the spirit of pioneer" become those whom people make fun of them because of their vision, dream, and ideas? Look at Bill Gates' track record. He had a vision to present personal computer into houses in the whole world. Many people underestimated his dream because computer has the same size as a cupboard that moment. Time proved it, the dream of Bill Gates wasn't just a daydream Now, computer is easily found everywhere: in the house, office, public places and even in the shape of holding hand.
People who develop the spirit of pioneer have an ability and bravery to think and do what others don't. That's why they experience a great success. Though not many people have a will to develop the spirit of pioneer within them, but today, don't we feel challenged to develop the spirit of pioneer? Thus, the name of God is glorified through the success in our lives.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, people who experience A GREAT SUCCESS are those who develop THE SPIRIT OF PIONEER within them!
