TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Isaiah 40:21-31
TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 40:31 "But those who hope in The Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Victor Frankl was a Jewish physiatrist. He was captured in the Nazi death camp in Germany. When he was there, he suffered from worst tortures as well cruel insults. He also lost his beloved wife, brother, and parents. Frankl did not know that he would end up in a gas chamber or he would be the luckiest one who survived and forced to bury ash from the dead men in the gas chamber. One day, when he was alone and naked in the prison, Frankl understood the meaning of "the secret of God's strength". At the time he was used to staying in a dark room and to experience tortures there. However, that condition gave him chance to be close to God and to meditate on God's Word. He prayed and worshiped God while waiting for God's help. Those things strengthened him and made him think that there was a powerful force which was more than his captors. He felt that power coming from within. He was then being an inspiration for others Nazi prisoners in the concentration camp. He encouraged others to find a strength in themselves. Furthermore, what he did made the camp guard come and listen to his advice.
After those suffering times, Frankl reached his dream. He was well-known as a physiatrist helping people with anxiety disorder. He was also a professor at Harvard, Southern Methodist University, Dallas and other best universities. He also received a lot of prestigious awards as well contributed to Christian churches and mental health institutions.
Through many things, we have to understand that we have limited strength. Make time to build an intimate relationship with God daily. Let's pray, ponder on God's word, worship and wait for Him. God will put His strength and it will lead us to success.
