TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Proverbs 2 4:10-16
TODAY'S RHEMA Proverbs 24:16 "for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes."
Sara is a 9 years old girl who likes to play with her father very much. One time, when she was playing with her father, suddenly, there was a blackout and all lights in the house went off. The darkness was all around but Sara was not afraid. She stood closer to her father and listened to his voice. His father then guided Sara to walk toward the kitchen and they fired up a candle to brighten up their room.
In our life, sometimes we have to walk through "the valley of darkness." This valley can be diseases, bankruptcy, or any other bad situations from nowhere that somehow attack us. As a believer, we do not have to be afraid because we are walking with God. When we are walking in the valley of darkness, all we need to do get closer to God, listening to His voice and grasping His Mighty Hands which are always available to help us. Just like Sara who trusts her father in the story above, we also have to believe in Our Father in Heaven.
There will be times when we are walking through the valley of darkness on our own strength, our own wisdom or with our own humanly solutions, and that is why many times we fell because we tend to step on the wrong path. During those times we always felt that our dreams will never become a reality. We felt so powerless too. But do not be desperate as God still loves us as if we are His beloved children. He will stretch His hands to help us and to bring us up to our feet again. God will fulfill His promises for our life. When we are walking according to His direction, we will surely arrive at our destination, "The Promised Land," where abundant milk and honey are provided.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, God LOVES US VERY MUCH. When we are in the valley of darkness, He WILL NOT STAND STILL to see our dreams fade away and die.

TODAY'S PRAYER
"Good Father, thank You because You love me very much. Thank You because You continue to work in my life, in all circumstances. Father, enable me to pay attention to Your voice. Enable me to stand again and walk according to Your directions. I believe that You are guiding me to walk toward a victory that You have provided for me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
