Micah 2:13 "The one who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their King will pass through before them, the LORD at their head."
Fanny Jane Crosby was born in a normal condition on 24th March 1820. When she was 6 weeks, she suffered from an infection in her eyes. In the condition that the doctor who used to treat her family was out of town, Fanny's family asked someone who claimed himself as a doctor in that area to treat her. Unfortunately, after Fanny had been treated, the result was very horrible. Baby Fanny's eyes were totally blind. The blind little Fanny was entrusted to her grandmother because her mother had to work. Her grandmother educated Fanny patiently. She taught how to pray and read the verse in Bible. Although Fanny was blind, she had an extraordinary ability to memorize the verses in Bible. She never felt sad because of her blindness. The thing she wanted the most was school.
Finally, Fanny attended to school in "The Institution for The Blind" in New York and she became an example student. She experienced breakthrough by breakthrough. Blindness did not cut off the progress in her life. She was well-known as an expert to make a poem, to play musical instrument and create thousands of church's song lyrics. Up to her death, she had written more or less 9000 lyrics for church's songs. Fanny became the most-written poem writer ever. Her blindness delivered a wonderful blessing for human kind. Up to now, lyrics of Church song by Fanny Crosby is still sung in the whole world and translated into tens of language. One of the song lyrics which is famous is "Blessed Assurance".
Nowadays, we may face some very hard things. It seems the way out or solution is very far from us. However, trust that God will make and has made the great breakthrough, an extraordinary growth and a very rapid progress in our lives. There will be incredible things we experience which we never imagined before. You can experience that breakthrough with Jesus: in spiritual life, ministry, job, finance, health even your family. When we walk with Jesus, He will act in time.
