TODAY'S RHEMA Habakkuk 3:17-18 "Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Saviour."
Do you remember Regina, the winner of Indonesian Idol 2012? Regina Ivanova Palopa was born in Jakarta, 4th December 1985. She participated in Indonesian Idol audition from season 1 until season 6 and failed six times. The following year, in her seventh try, it was her last chance to participate in Indonesian Idol since the competition has certain requirement that the maximum age for contestant is 26. She was advanced to the next round. Finally, she could be the winner of Indonesian Idol 2012.
What if you participate in competitions and face failure for six times? Perhaps, you will get disappointed and desperate. In the previous story, Regina showed that she surrendered and put her hope in God even though she was in difficult times. At last, she could gain success for her life.
Every one of us has different problems in life. God never promises that we would be free from any problem, but He did promise to guide us through the problems we are encountering. God will always be with us all and guide us through. Nothing is impossible for Him to do, problems we are facing could be transformed by God to be our vehicle to encounter miracles. When we depend our life on anything else but God, sooner or later we would experience disappointment. In another way, when we face problems in life, don't be disappointed, but keep fighting, keep pushing through. Always remember that God is our rescue, He is the source of hope. When we rest our hope on God, surely we will be free from any disappointment.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, put your hope only in God, so that you will be free from all disappointment.
