Colonel Sanders, most of us must be familiar with his name. He was the founder of the most well-known Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). After completing his duty in the US Army, he kept on changing his jobs for a couple of times. He ran a restaurant, but ended up penniless and was then stopped the business, retired, and received his social security check. At that time, he thought about things he could do for others. He got an idea of sharing his fried chicken recipe. When he was 65 years old, he sold his fried chicken recipe to many restaurants, however, they disdained and rejected his recipe. He was turned down for 1009 times. After two years traveled around the States by his old car, his idea found its biggest success. He had to hear 1009 NOs before he could hear his first YES. Since then, KFC has developed as the most succeed franchise business in the world. If he was disappointed on the 1000th NO, he would never make his dream come true and his vision happen.
Everybody must have failed. Commonly, people get disappointed after experiencing a failure. After being disappointed, there are two possibilities that may happen; the first possibility is the downfall, the ruin, and the unwillingness to rise; the second possibility is to rise up and to overcome the disappointment. When we experience disappointment, God wants us to give a response to the second possibility which is to rise up and to overcome disappointment. Therefore, God's vision and dream that have been given to us can really happen in our life. If you are failed in getting a job, paying the debt, or struggling with sickness, do not give up. Rise up and overcome your disappointment. God bless you.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, dream and vision that God has given for us will be a failure if we do not learn to overcome disappointment.
