TODAY'S RHEMA
John 4:34 "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work."
There was a young boy who was excitedly learning how to swim. He longed to be able to swim just like his friends because he couldn't swim at all. Moreover, swimming became one of PE subject in his grade that required mark for final exam. He then called a swimming teacher to make an appointment for practicing. Not only that. He also bought books and even VCD/DVD about swimming lesson. He read the books and watched all the VCDs. He thought that he had known everything about swimming.
The day to practice was coming. When he was asked to enter the pool, he saw and realized that the pool was deep and the water was so cold. He took steps back and refused to go inside the pool. The swimming teacher kept encouraging and motivating him to give a try, however, he still refused to do so. Then the teacher said to him, "No matter how many theories you have read and watched, it wouldn't show that you are able to swim. Only when you enter the pool and PRACTICE all the knowledge and do it continuously with strong determination, spirit, and courage, then you could really be able to swim!" The boy realized his mistake and started to muster his courage to do all the theory he had learned.
Doesn't the illustration above remind us that theories to achieve success and breakthroughs are meaningless and showing us nothing if we don't have the strong determination in our lives? Indeed, we need courage to overcome fear, unconfident feeling, laziness, and etc. However, having strong determination will open a way for us to make a change for our lives. Defeat yourself! Ask for God's strength and visualize your success. Remember this: "Comprehending the theory about swimming doesn't show that you CAN swim!" So do it continuously and be persistence until it becomes your lifestyle and you will see victories truly happen in your life. Hallelujah!
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, to be successful is not about how many knowledge we have but how STRONG YOUR DETERMINATION to DO what we know.
