TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

1 Corinthians 9:24-27

TODAY'S RHEMA
1 Corinthians 9:27 "No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize."

Surely the name of apostle Paul isn't strange to us. Apostle Paul was chosen by Jesus Christ as a chosen- instrument to proclaim His name over not only Israel but also other nations. Apostle Paul was initially a devoted Pharisees under the supervision of Gamaliel. A rabbi and leader of Israel. His meeting with Jesus transformed him from Pharisees into an Apostle of Christ.

In his ministry, apostle Paul did everything to win as many souls as possible. To serve Christ, of course, is not the same as we are serving man. Why is that so? Because the Word of God is like double edged sword (Hebrew 4:12) of which influenced people that he evangelized and for the evangelist themselves. So, when apostle Paul spread the good news in the gospel, the gospel itself imposes the same thing over Paul. He knew very well that whatever understanding he gained and every revelation he received is nothing if he himself didn't do it in such discipline. Therefore Apostle Paul trained his body and to take control over them so that after preaching the gospel to others, he won't be rejected.

We all have the tendency to change other people but we don't realize that before we could cause someone else to change, we need to change ourselves in the first place. When we are transformed into the character of Christ, that is when the light of Christ shine on us. Let us discipline ourselves to do what is obliged as the follower of Christ, not only for us to not be rejected by others, but also for us to be a conqueror and more than just a conqueror. Remember that there is a crown of life that awaited every conqueror.
