TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Luke 19 :11-27
TODAY'S RHEMA
Luke 19:17 "'Well done, my good servant!' his master replied. 'Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.'"
Mr. Jack was a wealthy landlord. He owned so many lands, houses, and employees. There were 2 employees that he loved most, Marc and Pablo. One day, Mr. Jack planned to go abroad and before he left, he gave a message to them. Mr. Jack gave each of them one key to a house and told them to take care of it and all the things within it as long as he was abroad.
Pablo received a house larger than the one received by Marc. However, Marc was more faithful in cleaning and taking care of the house. On the other hand, Pablo spent most of his time by sitting and relaxing in the house. Pablo cleaned the house only when he wanted to. Days and months had passed and Mr. Jack had not arrived yet. After two years, finally, Mr. Jack arrived home without informing anyone. Mr. Jack went straight into Marc's house and he was so glad because that house was so clean, well taken care of and became neater as Marc also planted some flowers in the right spots. He then went on to Pablo's house. He was so taken aback by what he saw. The condition of the house was so dirty and inhabited by wild plants. Mr. Jack then called Pablo and Marc and asked for the key back. They key that Pablo held was then given to Marc, Mr. Jack said that Marc had to take care of this larger house because the house now belongs to him. His faithfulness in taking care of small thing earned him a bigger trust. On the contrary, Pablo did not receive anything but moved to be employed on a cow farm.
When the Lord trusts a small thing unto your hands, do not ignore it but do it with gladness and joy. If right now you are experiencing something that makes you sad, do not be desperate and do not lose heart! Probably you have prayed, tried your best and that problem was still there, do not give up on your situation! Keep praying! All bigger things always start from small things. That is why we should not underestimate little things: because little ones can become bigger; and at a time can become a giant.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, do not underestimate small starts, because all BIG THINGS START FROM SMALL ONES.
