TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Matthew 5:13-16
TODAY'S RHEMA Matthew 5:16 "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Like theory is easier than practical, talking is easier than action. These days, when the problems in the world are increasing and getting more complicated, more people are talking. In this era of technology and social media, expressing our opinion is so much easier. When social issues come up, a lot of comments fill up the public space way more than the help and actions needed. This shows that there's always something we want to talk about, but we don't want to take needed actions.
As Christians, we often make a common mistake. When we see someone commit an error, we preach them a sermon without giving and initiating practical steps. When a friend is in grief, we only want to motivate him but not stand by his side and empathize. When someone is in his worst condition, we quote them scripture verses without offering any help. Every time, we fluently speak about the love to God to our peers, but no action backing it up. Finally what we reap is frustration, disappointment, and broken relationship.
Know this, when we speak gently; when we listen patiently and cry or rejoice with our friends; when we become generous; or when we forgive others; we are practically sharing the love of God. God's love is not just about beautiful words but about our actions that radiates before men who need the touch of His love. That is when they will open their heart, and encounter the great love of God. They also can be saved, restored, healed and blessed by God. So that the vision "Love God Love people with passion" will be real in our lives.
