TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Matthew 28:1-20
TODAY'S RHEMA Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
When we love someone, we want the best for that particular person and are willing to make sacrifices for them. It is the same for our Father in heaven. He tremendously loves us, therefore He gave His life for us and that was the greatest sacrifice recorded in history. Nevertheless, His work of love doesn't stop at the sacrifice He made on the cross. It is true that He has sacrificed Himself for our salvation. But what about other people who do not know Him? He also longs not only to save us, His chosen people, but also other lost souls.
If we love God, we should desire to reciprocate His love. One way is to proclaim His message. But first, we must have a loving heart, just like our Father. Without love, we will not have compassion for lost souls. Without love, it is impossible for us to be willing to pay any price to save them.
Conversely, when God's love is in our hearts, His vision will be our vision. His longing will also be our longing. We will be more committed to doing His will which is reaching the lost simply because we want to please Him. Because we know that one soul is precious in His sight, and when one soul is saved, the whole of heaven will shout for joy.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, When you LOVE GOD AND OTHERS, you are also COMMITTED to carry out HIS GREAT COMMISSION.
APPLICATIONS 1. Do you have compassion for the lost? 2. Why do you need to love God and others before you can carry out the Great Commission 3. What things can you do to fulfill the great commission? Write them down.
TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, please touch my heart and give me Your love so I can gain a compassionate heart to save the lost by fulfilling the great commission. Let Your name be glorified in the earth. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen."
