TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Matthew 5: 13-16
TODAY'S RHEMA Matthew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."
It rained heavily that night. The weather was very cold. Catherine was waiting in line at a fast food restaurant. As she was waiting, she was lost in thoughts about her assignment. Suddenly the queue behind her was disbanded. Apparently, there were two shabby homeless people lined up to order food as well. One of them smiled and greeted Catherine as he counted the coins. She was being so kind to let the man order first. Both men ordered a cup of hot coffee each because that was all the money they had. Seeing that, Catherine was compelled to buy two sets of dinner with separate trays and gave one tray to them as they sat in a corner, away from other people who looked at them with disgust. When Cathrine laid the food tray on the two-person table, they stared at each other with tears in their eyes and ended up crying and hugging as they thanked God. Not only were the two homeless people touched but the people who had been disturbed by their presence were also touched to see such kindness.
The story above shows that love should be indiscriminate, as God never judges a person by looks. Whoever that person is, His love is always there and real. Jesus also said that the light must be transmitted in the form of deeds, not just words. Not only sympathy but to be an answer for those in need. Like a lighthouse that gives hope and gives a direction in the dark, that's how we should be.
It may be true we don't have any "special" talent to serve God, but we can still be light in accordance with the capacity and calling we have in life. Whoever we are, God can use us to radiate His love to those who need Him. Through our lives, God can touch many souls and they can know Him and the world will never be the same again. Wherever we are, let God's love shine through us and illuminate the souls that are in darkness.

TODAY'S PRAYER "Dear God, I'm willing to radiate Your love wherever I am. The light that brings hope and joy, so that heaven on earth will be a reality. Let the lost and those who are in darkness be able to see Your light through my life and find a way to return to You. Thank You, God. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
