TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Ephesians 3: 16-21

"It seems like God doesn't love me anymore. I fall into sin again and again," said someone, bowing down his head, disappointed. On the other hand, someone spoke cheerfully, "I have done so many good deeds for God and people recently, I think God really loves me more each day." From these two statements, which one is right? Even though it is a normal thing for His children to experience, this is not correct at all. His love cannot be measured by what we do or what happens in our lives, especially by what we feel.
Our human understanding of God's love is limiting. His love is not as petty as we imagine. If His love depended on conditions, the great stories and people in the Bible would have never happened. Abraham would have never been the Father of all Nations. How could a man who betrayed his own wife for his own life be considered worthy before God? David, he committed adultery with somebody's wife and orchestrated her husband's death. At the end, he is considered a man after God's heart. Tamar, a prostitute, yet her name is written as an ancestress of Jesus Christ. A fisherman named Peter denied Jesus three times, yet he became an apostle who was very powerful and stayed in his faith till he died. Paul tortured Christ's followers, yet God made him reach all nations in the world for Him.
Believe it, God's grace is potent enough to clean up all our sins and mistakes, no matter how bad they are. Don't let Satan judge and condemn you. Do not also judge other people. We must open up to receive His overflowing love in our hearts. When our lives are rooted in His love that is greater, we are able to love others like we love ourselves.
