TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Psalm 84:1-12 TODAY'S RHEMA Psalm 84:5-6 "Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose heart are set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools." What do you pursue in life? Wealth? Happiness? Success? Fame? Pursuing all those things is not wrong. God wants His children to have a blessed life. If we are willing to work hard, we will reach our dream. However, when all of our desires and achievements drag our heart away from God, will we be able to say that everything is alright? When we face failures that pull us away from God, will we dare to say that God is still our priority? When we lose our hope or when we get everything, will we never stop loving Him? Will we never be forsaken? God will never leave us. He will keep on loving us. No matter how many times we have disappointed Him. When the Israelites disappointed Him and worshipped other gods, He said "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness."(Jeremiah 31:3) God said the same exact thing to us. If we find ourselves not putting God first, we must immediately repent and put Him first. Longing to be in His presence is the only thing that can destroy our soul. Give yourself time for praying, for kneeling down before Him. When we stop lamenting about what we lost and start pursuing His presence, His favor will come down on us. The valley of lamentation will be changed into the pond of blessing. Let His pure love keep pouring on us, so that many people can see His love through our lives. REFLECTION If you pursue God more than anything, you will never lose His favor. APPLICATIONS 1. What do you plan to pursue in this year? Does the pursuit make you become far from God? 2. Why must you pursue God more than anything? 3. How can you pursue God more than anything? TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, let me become hungry and thirsty for You.
