TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Genesis 26: 15-22
TODAY'S RHEMA Genesis 26:22 "He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, "Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land.""
Victory doesn't come easily. Often times, challenges and obstacle are so great that we are so pressed down. We might feel it is better for us to give up or to escape. It happened to Isaac. When he stayed in Gerar, his was envied because of his wealth by the people of Philistine. They covered the well that had become the source of living for his livestock and household.
Forcefully, Isaac moved to another valley and dug the ground to make a well. However, the shepherd there also claimed the well to be theirs. We can imagine how stressful it was for Isaac and his hard work seemed to be in vain. Despite all those circumstances, Isaac didn't for once blame God or grumble. He didn't give up either and kept looking for a ground for him to dig a well for his livestock and household. God then granted him safety and peace. Isaac named the well Rehoboth which means "Open Spaces" saying God has given him room and that he will flourish in the land.
We might be facing difficult circumstances right now, things may be pressing us that we can't see any way out. Circumstances and problems might seem like bogging us down but don't stop nor give up. Keep on trying, never give up because God said: "Never will I leave you nor forsake you" and when all is said and done, thegreat harvest will take place.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, To have room and a great harvest, prepare yourself to work hard and keep fighting till the victory manifests.
