Kate's life was in great fear due to many of life's problems lately. A year after graduating from her college, she hadn't got a job yet. Though countless application letters she had sent, none of them called for an interview. For the worse, the situation in her house was getting even more messed up. Her parents argued almost every day because of their financial problem. Negative feelings like accusing her self, disappointment, fear of being jobless and being a burden for her parents raged in her heart.
Kate couldn't stand to face it any longer. In the midst of her distress, she decided to seek Jesus. The closer she gets to Jesus, the more her confidence arose. Now, she believed that no matter what happened, God still had the best plan for her. This is true because not long after that, a multinational company which she dreamed to work into needed a fresh graduate to work there. She immediately sent her application letter to that company. Long story short, Kate was contacted for an interview and accepted to work at her dreamed company.
In life, we sometimes experience either conflict or a process when we have to wait for the answer to our prayer. The hardest process oftentimes happens in waiting times because devil aggressively intimidates us. He attacks us by creating fear in our hearts and even try to stop our hope in Jesus. However, believe and keep holding God's promise. Do not be afraid or dread since we have Jesus who's able to reveal His glory in our lives. No matter how worst our condition is, keep trusting that no single problem that God cannot restore. He's able to give the real freedom in our lives. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, NO MATTER HOW BAD your condition is, DO NOT BE AFRAID, because JESUS has come to REDEEM and RESTORE your life. APPLICATIONS 1. Have you ever felt the devil's intimidation? What's the effect? 2. In your view, why does devil often intimidate us? 3. What will you do to fight against devil's intimidation?
TODAY'S PRAYER "God, I believe in Your great power. I'm willing to learn to always be brave and stand firmly in fighting against devil's intimidation. I know that no matter how bad my condition is, You are able to give me victory. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
