It's been two days since Jessy and Lolly greeted each other. They ignored each other and waited for who would start talking first. The issue was simple. Jessy had found Lolly's wallet which fell in their apartment and kept it for her, but Jessy forgot to tell Lolly. When Lolly gave up looking for her wallet, she stumbled on it in Jessy's bag. Then Lolly accused Jessy of stealing her wallet and they fought.
Finally, Jessy felt that their friendship was threatened if they kept to themselves instead of talking. She really did not want their ten years of friendship to break up due to miscommunication. At last, with humility, Jessy approached Lolly and apologized for picking up her wallet without informing her immediately. Lolly also apologized for accusing Jessy of theft. Eventually, the conflict between them was resolved.
Communication play a very important role in building a relationship with others. The success or failure of a relationship is strongly influenced by communication. Many relationships have ended due to lack of communication. Therefore, humility is needed to take the initiative to build communication. If right now you are in conflict with your parents, partner or friends, there is a need to correct yourself immediately. Find the cause of the conflict, then communicate with God first. After which, you take the initiative to initiate communication with the person at loggerheads with us. Do not let the conflict linger without any communication. Good communication will make a relationship become beautiful and wonderful. Believe that when you have done your part, God will step in to resolve the conflicts in our lives. And we will be free from the shackles of conflicts while experiencing true freedom from God. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, COMMUNICATION is vital so as to RESOLVE CONFLICTS, therefore you need the INITIATIVE TO BUILD COMMUNICATION. APPLICATIONS 1. Are you currently having a conflict with someone? What is your communication with that person like? 2. Why do you need to take the initiative to start communicating with the person you're conflicting with? 3. What concrete steps will you take to resolve the conflict you are experiencing? TODAY'S PRAYER "Lord Jesus, please teach me to build good communication with others. Give me a humble heart, so that I can take initiative to start communicating with the persons in conflict with me.
