TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 TODAY'S RHEMA Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Archimedes was a talented scientist from his young age. But he did not realize he would receive a difficult task from King Hiero II. The king ordered a golden crown in an irregular shape to the jewelry expert using the pure gold he himself provided. After the crown was finished, the king suspected that his jewelry expert had been dishonest by using silver in the making of the crown. Archimedes was given a task to test the purity of the golden crown without ruining it, and without even scratching it.
The honor of Archimedes as a great scientist was put at risk. For days he was thinking about it and he felt tremendous pressure because of the task. He then decided to sink himself into a bathtub to release the tensions. When he sank himself in the water, he saw some of the water spilled out of the bathtub. Archimedes was stunned and he realized he had found the answer! He could find the masse of gold within the crown by sinking it in the water. With the knowledge of Physics and Math he already mastered, it did not take long to prove that the crown had been made of gold mixed with silver.
Today, what problems are you facing? Many of us take them to be beyond our strengths. It often feels we already want to give up, or sometimes we want to die! But, do not rush to take decision. Do not decide anything when you are in a stressed condition. Wait until you have a clear mind. Be patient until you feel relief in your heart. Come to God, pray for strength from Him, and find His wisdom. Believe that Jesus is the Source of answers. His help never comes late. He will free us from all life burdens which are so intense and we can live in true freedom. In Him, a problem is a staircase to take us to a higher level. Yes, so often the problem is an introduction to a blessing God has provided for us. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, When heavy burdens weigh you down, WAIT until you have a clear mind, then God will CHANGE A PROBLEM TO A CROWN. APPLICATIONS 1. What burdens are weighing you down these days? What is your attitude to them? 2. Why can you not rush to take a decision while being weighed down? 3. How can you act towards certain problems you face these days? TODAY'S PRAYER "Good Father, no one is hidden from your attention. You know all problems which are burdens on my shoulders and which are weighing me down. I want to learn to stay calm by Your side and surrender all my problems to You. Because I know, You are able to make all things work for our good. In the Name of ,Jesus, I pray. Amen."
