TODAY'S RHEMA
John 4:23-24 "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worsipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth."
One of God's purposes in ceating us is to have a close relationship with Him. By worshiping, we can be connected with Him. However, we oftentimes don't know how to worship in truth. From the story of Samaritan woman in John chapter 4, God teaches us to worshiping as God desires. Jesus Christ, who knows the heart of the Heavenly Father, said that the Father sought worshipers who worship Him in the Spirit and the truth. The kind of worship God wanted isn't about a beautiful song, good place, or nice ceremony, but it is more than that.
Why should we worship in the Spirit? First, it's because God is Spirit and only the Holy Spirit who dwells in us comprehends the thoughts of the Father (1 Corinthians 2:11). Second, the Holy Spirit in our hearts helps us in our weakness to pray (Romans 8:26). Without the Holy Spirit, our inner man neither knows nor able to do God's will for our lives. Why must we worship in truth? It's because only in Truth, Jesus Christ, we are worthy to worship God. Through Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, who had reconciled us to himself, we are worthy to draw near to the throne of grace.
The time we worship, God wants us to focus our heart and mind unto Him. Put aside anything that shifting our focus from Him. Renew our heart and mind with the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. When we worship God wholeheartedly, we will be able to touch God's heart in heaven and our offering become a pleasing scents to Him.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, pleasing offering and scents before God is for you to worship Him in Spirit and in truth.
APPLICATION
Have you ever felt dry and lack of the Holy Spirit's presence? Sing a grateful praise to the Holy Spirit and read the Bible. Then, tell your heart and mind to Him in a prayer.

TODAY'S PRAYER
"Heavenly Father, You are number one in my life. Please teach me how to please Your heart and always worship You with my whole heart and mind. I want to worship You in the Spirit and the truth. Please enable me O Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen."
