TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Philippians 4:6-13

TODAY'S RHEMA
Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

A pastor was doing counseling for his congregations all day long. He was making his ears available to listen to all their complaints and trying to understand their struggles patiently. While delivering words of motivation and courage, he thought for a moment that he himself was no different than the congregation. He has so many problems in his life as well. Later in the evening, he was exhausted but also feel suffocated at home, he then decided to have some fresh air. While putting his shoes on, he reached to a devotional book and randomly open to find the page with a statement: "Pray for others and give thanks". After passing a tiring day giving himself to others in need, he was strengthened by the saying. "How about me" he said, "Who cares for me?" Even though it was hard, he finally surrendered everything to God. As he jogged, he prayed to God for some people who cross his mind, he thank God for his family and for the life God has given him. In the end of his jogging, he realized that he was refreshed physically and spiritually.

Whatever problem we are facing, however hard it is, will not matter once we bring all to God with a thankful heart. When we pray gratefully, we encourage our heart to trust in the Lord for whatever circumstances we experience and that everything is still under God's control. When that happens, God will strengthen our faith, heal our heart and solve our life problems. Things may not go as we desire but when we pray wholeheartedly, He listen and will surely extend His helping hand because He is the God our provider.
