TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Psalm 119:123-130
TODAY'S RHEMA
Psalm 119:129-130 "Your statutes are wonderful; therefore I obey them. The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple."
There was this young businessman devoted his life to God. Never did he miss any Sunday service nor giving tithe every month. He read his Bible every day despite his busyness. One day, his five-year business filled for bankruptcy. He questioned God on why God didn't seem to protect his life, as a matter of fact, he had been a devoted Christian. His cell group leader reminded him of God's word, he told him not only to read it but also to dig it deeper. Despite being depressed with his life, he was willing to listen to his leader's advice and began to contemplate every God's word that he read each and every day. He started to experience the change every time he read the bible. The word of God was no longer a mere verse or words. God talked to him through His Word. He was reminded by God about his decisions and compromises which were not pleasing to God. God also strengthened his faith although he had done many mistakes and failures. Nevertheless, God still loves him and gives him the hopeful future.
From that moment, he tried to live his life according to God's word. All of a sudden, the property he was once bought could be sold with an amazing price. Using the profit, he could restart his business. He made his business according to God's word and his business grew rapidly.
When you read God's word, you should not only read it, you need to contemplate it in order to understand God's purpose through the word you read. When you dig into His word, God can reveal things you never think before. Truly, all the answers for every life problem you may face have been provided in the bible. That is why you need to dig into His word to find the answer. When you focus yourself on His word, the Holy Spirit will bring out into open the things you do not understand. When that happens, the power of God will be manifested and you will experience a miracle with Him.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, it needs more than reading the word of God. You need to dig into God's word until the power of His word is revealed and manifested in your life.
