TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Psalms 28:1-9

TODAY'S RHEMA
Psalms 28:7 "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song."

Steven was a 5 old year boy. One afternoon, he climbed up a tree with his friends. Unfortunately, his friends left him up on the tree and he was afraid to climb down by himself. The day was getting dark and his parents were worried about him who had not come home yet. Eventually, his friends reported a news about him to his parents. Then they both immediately searched for Steven in the edge of the village.

Once they arrived, they called out Steven's name. Hearing somebody calling out his name, he then answered from the tree, 'I am over here!' He was crying in fear but relieving he was found by his own parents. Steven's father could see him clearly enough below the tree, though the surrounding was already dark. "Come on Steven, jump down! I will catch you!" his father asked."I can't see you, dad." Steven replied. "I see you Steve, just jump down. I'm ready to catch you, you will be alright, Son!" It's seemingly that Steven couldn't trust his father. Yes, he knew that his father had already waited for him but he was uncertain about jumping down and being caught by his father. He realized that this incident happened as the result of his stubbornness and he was very afraid his father might punish him for his disobedience. However, the fact was his father had no such thinking. "Come on boy, you have to trust me, I'm ready to catch you!". His mom ensured Steven also. At last, Steven trusted his parents. Although he couldn't see his father, he decided to jump down. So it happened, Steven's father caught him with his strong arms and embraced him. Steven was safe without any harm at all. Hug and kisses from his parents welcomed him. "I'm glad to know you believe in my words." said Steven's father. "Forgive me, Dad, I didn't really believe in you at first but from now on, I will learn to believe in your words and advice." The choice was on Steven's little hand: not believing and staying on the tree in fear and sadness or believing and solving the problem. Fortunately, he chose to believe. He was safe and now he's in the warm embrace of his parents.

God is the host of Heaven and Earth and nothing is too difficult to do. Our problems and difficulties are easy matters for Him. If our problems and difficulties seem "dark" in our mind, but for God everything is clear to see and He has an incredible solution for those. Trust in His Word and promise, do what He wants us to do and God will fight for us. Above all these things, God is more gladly that we trust and surrender to Him. Amen.
