TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
John 12:1-8
TODAY'S RHEMA John 12:3 "Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume."
Anthony, a 58 years old man filled his daily life taking care of his old sick wife. They were blessed with 4 kids and that was the beginning of their trial. After his wife gave birth to their 4th children, she was suddenly paralyzed, could not even make any move. Every single day, Anthony had to clean her up, feed her and mobile her from and to bed. Before leaving to work, he seated his wife in front of TV so that his wife would not feel lonely. Even though she was not able to speak again, she always gave Anthony a sweet smile. Thankfully Anthony's store was not far from home, which was good because during the lunch break he could go home to feed his wife. In the evening when he got off work he would bathe his wife, change her clothing, watched TV together and talked about his whole day with her. Even though his wife couldn't respond much other than tenderly looked into his eyes and he was happy enough with that. Anthony had a unique habit before bed which was to tease his wife. He had been doing all these routine for about 25 years.
The story above tells us about a husband who loves his wife so much that he gave the best out of him in time she needed him the most when she was sick. He accompanied and cared for his sick wife
When you are married, you would love your spouse so much; and when you do, you will, of course, want to give the best present in your spouse's birthday, or when your spouse is sick, you will do your best so care for them. So does our relationship with God. When we love God so much, we would give the best out of us for Him. We would give our time, effort, energy, even our wealth for Him. So let us learn to give what is best to God.
